Blackbird Record Label is a Los Angeles based label founded in 2017 by Recording Artist Manda Mosher and Record Label Executive and Music Supervisor, Eric Craig. Blackbird Record Label is an artist run label that represents a community of artists we truly believe in and love.

Manda Mosher is an award-winning Los Angeles native Singer/Songwriter with deep roots in the California Americana and Alt-Country music scenes. As leader of her namesake solo band, Mosher released 2 albums with Red Parlor Records, and followed up with 2 albums as co-leader of all female fronted California Country group, CALICO the band (California Country Records). Mosher is a four-time LA Critic Awards Winner and five-time LA Music Awards winner including such honors as, Americana Album of the Year, Singer-Songwriter of the Year, and two-time National Touring Artist of the Year.

 

In addition to her activities as a recording artist, Mosher is also a business woman and entrepreneur having launched both California Country Records and her current Blackbird Record Label, an apparel company, California Country Apparel, was a founder of the annual California Country Social, now The California Country Show event at AMERICANAFEST, and is owner of San Fernando Valley Recording.

Eric Craig is an award-nominated music supervisor, record executive, songwriter and producer who has worked intimately with on-camera talent, score composers, and songwriters on 34 feature films including Drive, The Lincoln Lawyer, and the Underworld film franchise, as well as the action role-playing video game Cyberpunk 2077. Eric has 2 decades of A&R credits including the GRAMMY nominated soundtracks to Stranger Things, Little Miss Sunshine and Napoleon Dynamite, and critically acclaimed soundtrack albums such as Bridgerton, Moonlight, Lady Bird, The Handmaid's Tale, If Beale Street Could Talk, Red Dead Redemption II, The Walking Dead, and the Drive soundtrack, which is a regular on short lists as one of the greatest soundtracks of all time.

 

Eric has worked with the most respected and accomplished composers in the industry to bring these legendary albums to life. In addition to his work at Lakeshore Records, Eric maintains a recording studio (San Fernando Valley Recording), an artist driven record label (Blackbird Record Label), and an apparel company (California Country Apparel) with his wife, recording artist Manda Mosher in the San Fernando Valley. Manda and Eric are the founders and producers of the annual California Country Show at Americanafest in Nashville, TN. Prior to his work in film music, Eric was the principal songwriter in bands signed to Warner Bros/Revolution Records (The Cunninghams) and Interscope Records (Daysleeper).
